Yes, it is November and yes, we're pictured here at Sauble Beach. My longtime cycling friends Andy and Bryan wanted to get in an epic ride before the snow arrived - we just happend to pick one of the warmest days in November! We started off as the sun was rising in Waterloo. By the time we got to Drayton, our fingers and toes had thawed out. In Mildmay we stoped for one of the best Western sandwiches I've ever had! (It's amazing what physical exertion does for your taste buds). Mildmay to Paisley is a fairly long stretch. Last summer Andy rode this stretch against a strong headwind, so he wasn't too keen on it. Fortunately for us we had an amazing tailwind, making this one of my favourite parts of the ride! In South Hampton, we met up with Lori and Kaitlyn (Andy's wife and daughter) and then set off for last stretch of our ride. It was definately the most scenic stretch - winding along the east coast of the Bruce Peninsula. We made a quick stop at the beach (as pictured above) and then "raced" to Oliphant, home of Andy's parents and our "Nirvana" for the evening. Awaiting us was a fabulous pasta dish which Lori had prepared beforehand. We shared a bottle of red wine and watched a movie for the rest of the evening. The next morning, after an incredible breakfast prepared by Andy's parents, we loaded up in the van and headed home. What an amazing trip!
