So we're off to South Carolina for our week long camp in the mountains...one of my favourite places of all time! If we get into an internet cafe I'll be sure to update this blog...otherwise, I'll talk to you when we return :).
A journal of experiences, photos, and thoughts as I return to the world of Professional Cycling.
This is the gang (just missing Catherine who's in New Zealand at the moment :). We've had an amazing weekend...getting to know one another and riding our beautiful new Orbeas in WARM weather. Everyone's really excited to be on this team...it's incredible how well we've connected already. We're now off to South Carolina for a week long training in the mountains. Hopefully we'll find an internet cafe so I can post more pictures. Web site should be up within the next month!
Next to Jeff and my family...this guy is one of the hardest things to leave behind when I begin my season. He's such a good companion when either Jeff or I are away...the house is never quiet with him around. I'm off to Charlotte, North Carolina for our team training camp (ok, I'm alreay here...but I'll blog that one tomorrow! LOTS of great stuff to talk about) Miss everyone already!
Yes, it's winter and yes Jeff's digging a spot to put a hot tub. I don't know who's more excited about it :). We decided to get one now while we'll really appreciate it rather than wait until we can really afford it. If all goes according to Jeff's plan...we'll have it up and running by the end of the month...so come on over!
There's a gem of a rail trail from Cambridge to Ancaster! Point to point, it covers 80km. Well-mainained, quiet, and secluded from the elements...it's an ideal winter training ground. Jeff and I found these ruins along the trail just outside of Glen Morris. From what I hear, this used to be a woolen mill and then an inn. It's a great place to stop for a coffee and take in the solitude of the area.
